Pre-sharpening with FocusFixerThis photograph was taken by Tim Atherton using a Canon 20D at f/8 looking North across the river Thames shortly before sunset in September 2006. The raw file was imported into Photoshop with no adjustments (sharpening set to zero, as Adobe suggest if you intend to apply further processing) and saved as a TIFF. FocusFixer was used as a pre-sharpening filter with a Deblur value of 1.6 and a Threshold of zero. The roll-over image shows the effectiveness of FocusFixer on a crop of the original at 100%, ie one pixel on the screen is one pixel from the original photo. |
