NoiseFixer is the latest Adobe Photoshop plug-in to be produced by the FixerLabs team.
Designed to remove 'noise' or 'graininess' from images by giving total control to you the user, allowing you to tailor the results to your own needs. The sophisticated mathematical technology is hidden by a simple and easy to use front end which enables you to independently visualise the noise from an images' luminance and chrominance components and see the final combined effects in the preview screen.
- Removes 'noise', 'grain' or 'fuzz' from images
- New - support for much larger images
- New - much reduced memory requirements
- An essential new tool for use with high ISO and low quality images alike
- Obtains results without removing the crispness from the image
- Designed to work independently on the grey and colour components
- Seamless integration with your image editing workflow as a plug-in filter
- Works on both 8-bit images (24-bit RGB) and 16 bit images (48-bit RGB)
- PC and Mac OS X compatibility
- Easy, intuitive, and fast user interface
Like all the plug-ins produced by FixerLabs, NoiseFixer has been designed to ensure the very best results are simple to produce for technical and non-technically minded alike.

The control panel explained..
Once installed NoiseFixer will appear as a Filter option in Photoshop. To use you first select an image or image region. The control panel will display four windows. The top two windows show the color content (chrominance) and
the grey content (luminance) of your photograph (in this case a test chart taken
at high ISO). The lower two windows show the original image on the left and the result on the right. To move around the image you drag the mouse to the preferred location. To adjust the level of zoom select the + or -icon.
Since Cameras differ you may need to adjust the color noise more than grey noise. NoiseFixer allows you to filter out the
noise in either the color or grey components independently.
To remove color noise simply adjust the Color Noise slider from
zero to a value where the noise is no longer apparent. To fine tune you can click on the arrow icon. To remove the Grey Noise again move the slider from zero to a point where the noise
is least apparent.
Unlike other filters, which can soften your image, by adjusting the color and grey noise independenlty you can achieve significant noise reduction and still retain the detail
in your image.
Once you're happy with the result in the preview panel, click OK and the selected image or image region will be adjusted and the result returned to Photoshop.

NoiseFixer is available for both PC and Mac OS X and is designed to be used with Adobe's Photoshop and compatible image editing suites, such as PhotoShop Elements and Jasc's Paint Shop Pro. Check compatibility here.
