The image below is an overview of the original from a Nikon D100 camera (image courtesy of Studio 86, Watford, UK - image copyright FixerLabs). It prints beautifully at A4 (8 by 11 in.) at 300dpi but begins to look soft when upsized in Photoshop to A3 (11 by 16 in.).

We have upsized this image from 25cm high to 40 cm high, effectively taking the size from A4 (8 by 11 in.) to A3 (11 by 16 in.) using both Photoshop and SizeFixer. The "softness" in the Photoshop Upsize result is clearly apparent when compared with the SizeFixer version. Slide you mouse over the image to compare the two.

The SizeFixer result has far better definition. Click on the images to swap back and forth between the Photoshop result and the SizeFixer result.
