Parameter and output size presets

Preset drop down boxes SizeFixer provides presets to allow you to quickly access commonly used settings. These can be selected using the two drop down boxes near the middle of the pane in the left of the SizeFixer user interface.

Saving / deleting presets

The current settings can be saved by clicking on ‘Save current as’, towards the bottom of the preset list. You’ll be prompted for a name and any other settings required. The currently highlighted preset can be deleted by selecting ‘Delete preset’. You’ll be asked to confirm before the preset is deleted.

Output size presets

These presets only affect the values in the Output Size tab. Presets are stored in one of two ways, described below. When saving a preset, you will be asked in which way you wish to store the preset. Some sample presets are included.

Some sample presets are included with SizeFixer. The 'Ax' presets are such a size that they'll fill a sheet of the appropriately sized paper. You may want to create your own presets that incorporate a border if your printer requires a small border around the image.

Relative scaling

These presets store a magnification factor; e.g. a x2 magnification. Applying a preset that holds a x2 magnification will cause the output image size to be double that of the source image.

Absolute size

These presets store an absolute size in pixels and a resolution. For example, saving a preset of 297 X 210mm at 300 dpi as an absolute output size result in a preset that represents A4 in landscape at 300dpi. Applying it to an image will result in an output image this size, regardless of the size of the input image.

Parameter presets:

If you have settings for the other parameters that you use often, you can load/save them using the second drop down box. Currently it isn’t possible to selectively save parameters. This is planned as a future improvement.
